Course Descriptions

Since UCAS recognizes this certificate, if you successfully complete this training, you can claim 8 tariff points, which will be used to your UCAS application if you’re applying for a study at a British university starting in September 2023. For the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982, this regulated qualification is perfect for people who are currently employed in the industry or are getting ready to work there and want to become a first aider in the workplace. The suggested course lasts three days and covers the following topics: the duties and responsibilities of a first aider; evaluating an incident; identifying signs and symptoms of illness and injury; helping a casualty experiencing severe illness and injury; chest injuries; spinal injuries; and anaphylaxis. Continuous oral and/or written interrogation as well as hands-on demonstration are used to evaluate the qualification. The HSE and Awarding Organizations declared in May 2016 that all workplace first aid courses could now be completed through computer-based blended learning. After finishing this online course and two days of classroom instruction, you can now become a fully certified first aider in the workplace. Every student who succeeds will receive a First Aid at Work Certificate that details their accomplishment. According to HSE regulations, students must retake the First Aid at Work qualification within three years of earning the first one in order for it to be valid in the workplace. You might be eligible to retake the course in two days instead of three if you miss no more than one calendar month throughout this three-year term. Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility & Entry Learners must be 18+ with a good command of English. A background or active interest in healthcare or aesthetics is preferred but not essential. Skills Up Training Ltd reserves the right to refuse entry if entry requirements are not met. 2. Attendance Full attendance is required for certification. Learners arriving more than 15 minutes late may be refused entry without refund. Non-attendance without notice results in forfeiture of the course fee and place. 3. Assessment & Certification Certificates are awarded only upon successful completion of both theory and practical assessments. Unsafe or incorrect technique may result in withheld certification. Reassessment is at trainer discretion and may incur an additional fee. 4. Sharps & Equipment Learners must follow strict health and safety rules. Sharps must only be used under supervision and disposed of in approved sharps containers. Re-sheathing is strictly prohibited. Any injury from negligence or mishandling is the learner’s responsibility. 5. Liability Skills Up Training Ltd accepts no liability for injuries or harm resulting from learner misconduct or misuse of training. Certification confirms competence at the time of training but does not qualify the learner to practise independently or as a medical professional. 6. Refunds & Cancellations made more than 7 days before the course will be refunded minus a £50 admin fee. No refunds or date changes are permitted within 7 days, including for lateness or non-attendance. If Skills Up Training Ltd cancels, a full refund or alternative date will be offered.. 7. Health & Safety PPE must be worn. Any medical conditions, allergies, or access needs must be declared in advance. Entry will be refused to anyone unwell or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 8. Behaviour & Dress Code Professional behaviour is mandatory. Disruptive conduct results in removal without refund. Phones must be silent. Wear clean, professional attire and closed shoes. Hair tied back; no polish or extensions. 9. Consent & Media Recording is not permitted unless authorised. Group photos may be used for promotion; learners can opt out. Unsafe behaviour may result in removal or disqualification. 10.Certificate Name Accuracy Learners must provide their full legal name correctly at registration.
