Course Descriptions
Since UCAS recognizes this certificate, if you successfully complete this training, you can claim 8 tariff points, which will be used to your UCAS application if you’re applying for a study at a British university starting in September 2023. For the purposes of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982, this regulated qualification is perfect for people who are currently employed in the industry or are getting ready to work there and want to become a first aider in the workplace. The suggested course lasts three days and covers the following topics: the duties and responsibilities of a first aider; evaluating an incident; identifying signs and symptoms of illness and injury; helping a casualty experiencing severe illness and injury; chest injuries; spinal injuries; and anaphylaxis. Continuous oral and/or written interrogation as well as hands-on demonstration are used to evaluate the qualification. The HSE and Awarding Organizations declared in May 2016 that all workplace first aid courses could now be completed through computer-based blended learning. After finishing this online course and two days of classroom instruction, you can now become a fully certified first aider in the workplace. You might be eligible to retake the course in two days instead of three if you miss no more than one calendar month throughout this three-year term.
